Alima EL BAJNOUNI

Alima El Bajnouni is a legal advisor, a PhD candidate in law at the MIL research group (University of Paris-Est Créteil), and an associate PhD candidate at LAVUE (Paris 8 University). Her research focuses on the interactions between law and urban commons in Marseille (France).

As a legal advisor, she supports organizations working in the social and solidarity economy, exclusively non-profit organizations. Since 2015, she has been actively involved in the commons movement and in various organizations working in the fields of housing, the right to the city, and food democracy (Un Centre Ville Pour Tous, Commoning Space Network, Fairville, La COMAC).

Claire ASTIER

Claire Astier works as a legal advisor with communities engaged in fighting discriminatory immigration laws, supporting organizations and institutions. She is also an artist who uses commoning, friendship, storytelling, and legal discourse as raw material for artworks, performances, and writings, where co-authorship plays a central role. She is a member of the legal commission of Antidote, a collective that uses collective ownership to counter the capitalist effects on shared resources and rights, and she supports her peers in various activist groups in Marseille.

Raquel PRADO PÉREZ

Raquel Prado Pérez, Lawyer, specialized in Public Law with a large experience in Public Policy legal development, Migrations, Child Protection, Public Procurement and the Commons. She has also teached Administrative Law as an Adjoint professor at University of Barcelona for more than ten years. At the moment she develops her professional practice within Hacendera Jurídica legal network.
Since 2016 when she participated as a legal researcher in the development of the Barcelona’s Public Policy Patrimoni ciutadà d’ús i gestió comunitària”, she has been involved in a number of commons projects both as a participant and as legal advisor. At the moment she is the President of Asociación Las Hijuelas, Cultura Comunal, makes part of Les Juntes Cooperative, working for the access to housing in La Florida neighbourhood in Barcelona, the Concejo Ibérico de Comuneras of Women in Commonlands, and the Advisory Board of Fundació Emprius that tries to recuperate rural commons in Catalonia.

Laure BILLOT

With a background in administrative law, international and European law, and Russian law, she began her career as an in-house legal advisor at a law firm specializing in administrative law, before expanding her experience to the non-profit sector. She is a legal expert for organizations within the social and solidarity economy, assisting them in all aspects of their development. Since 2020, she has also been actively involved with Solidarité Paysans Occitanie, where she focuses on rural law, business insolvency law and advocates for farmers’ interests.

Maria Francesca DE TULLIO

Maria Francesca De Tullio is assistant professor in Constitutional Law (Federico II University of Naples). She is active in co-research processes with Italian and European commons movements, also in their legal negotiations with administrations. She is an activist of l’Asilo and of Abitare Bene Comune (ABC) – wishing to bring the Mietshäuser Syndikat model in Italy – as well as in Italian and European commons movements, with special reference to creative use of law. She is also a part of the Feministisation of Politics Collective.
